Rodgers CPT, Roman Wilson, and a 120-Point Tie for First: PIT @ CLE Showdown Takeaways
Steelers at Browns DraftKings Showdown: a mid-owned Rodgers captain build with cheap Roman Wilson tied for first in the big rooms while chalk Warren CPT missed the top tier.
DraftKings NFL Showdown, Thursday Night Football, Week 5 (Thu 10/1/2026). Steelers at Browns. Final: Browns 27, Steelers 24.
Pittsburgh was a short-road favorite in a low-total game (38.5). Cleveland won it on a 56-yard field goal with ten seconds left. On DraftKings, the fantasy script ran the other way: the Steelers' pass game — especially a mid-owned Aaron Rodgers captain build with cheap Roman Wilson — owned the top of every large tournament we pulled.
We pulled full DraftKings standings for six Showdown contests on this game (Hard Count, two Red Zones, Huddle, Flea Flicker, mini-MAX), about 255,000 entries, plus verified results for one single-entry room without a standings export. Here are the headline patterns.
Headline findings
1. One lineup scored 120.74 and tied for first in the two biggest rooms — and almost nobody had it.
The highest-scoring legal lineup on the slate was CPT Aaron Rodgers + Jaylen Warren, DK Metcalf, Quinshon Judkins, Roman Wilson, Darnell Washington (120.74). Across the $250K Flea Flicker and $80K mini-MAX it was only 0.05% of entries (128 copies combined), and those copies were 100% of the top-10 finishes in those two contests. Rodgers was captained in just 6.9% of Flea Flicker lineups. The chalk captain was Jaylen Warren at 28.3%.

2. Roman Wilson was the separator.
Wilson scored 16.4 DraftKings points from the cheap pass-catcher tier. He was in about 20% of tournament lineups, about 54% of cashing lineups, and about 82% of the top 1%. Every top-10 finish in the two large tournaments used him. Builds that preferred a kicker or a higher-owned tight end in that salary slot watched the cash line sail by.
3. Both-DST and both-kicker builds were dead again.
Lineups with both defenses were 4.4% of the large-tournament field, cashed at 4.02%, and produced zero top-1% finishes. Both-kicker builds were 5.4% of lineups, cashed at 5.46%, also with zero top-1%. Same pattern we saw on Monday Night.
