DraftKings NFL Showdown strategy

DraftKings NFL Showdown strategy from real double-up standings: the chalk lineup sets the cash line, and winning lineups only pivot off it in a few slots.

DraftKings Showdown is a single-game slate: one captain at 1.5x points and salary, plus five flex spots. Most public advice is written for tournaments, where being different is the whole point. Cash games, including double-ups, pay for clearing a line that about half the field also clears.

The public DraftEdge.io notes start from standings, not a projection screenshot. In the Week 3 Sunday night double-ups we entered (Rams at Broncos, 12 contests, 3,631 entries), the most-played lineup was the top projected build at the major projection sites. In 10 of those 12 rooms the cash line landed on that lineup’s score. Fading it outright was not a cash-game edge.

Questions

What is a practical DraftKings NFL Showdown strategy for cash games?

Treat the chalk optimal as the cash line, not as a fade. In the Sunday night double-ups we charted, that lineup was the most-entered build in every room, and the cash line matched its score in 10 of 12 contests. A useful pivot is one or two slots, not a different roster.
