Cash rate by slate

Cash rate by slate Each dot is one slate, in date order, wins and losses. The height is that slate’s cash rate: entries DraftKings paid, divided by entries we played. Slates on the same day sit side by side. The line averages the last 5 slate cash rates, so a 50-entry slate counts the same as a 400-entry slate. The dashed line is every entry together, which is the headline cash rate. Green is NFL Showdown and gold is NFL Classic. An open dot has fewer than 30 entries. Golf cash rates are not in this published record. Rolling cash rate went from 26.7% on the first 5 slates to 37.2% on the last 5. Overall cash rate is 36.6%. n = 24 slates. 0%25%50%75%100%Sep 9, NE@SEA, Showdown: 24 of 63 cashed (38.1%)Sep 13, Classic main/afternoon, Classic: 0 of 5 cashed (0.0%). How we count. Every figure is taken from DraftKings' own results for entries we played: entry history exports and the DraftKings My Contests screen. A cash is an entry DraftKings paid a prize. Cash rate is cashed entries divided by entries. Nothing is estimated or modeled, and every contest is included, wins and losses. Cashing is not the same as profit: many cashes are small payouts. Past results do not guarantee future results.

Why 37% isn't low. DraftKings tournaments pay about the top 20–25% of the field. The smallest prize is usually 1.5–2x the entry fee. A random entry in our contests would cash about 24% of the time. Cashing is not the same as profit.

What a cash is worth

Prize divided by the entry fee, for each cash. The median is 2.0x across 1,091 cashes.
